“An Ape has always been my husband’s dream”, tells us Kirsten Karaarslan, owner with her husband of the icecream shop Alpz Cafe in Zell am See, in Austria.

“As soon as we started making gelato, my husband wanted to buy an Ape ice cream truck, and we actually bought two trucks, but they were not what we were looking for”, tells us.

“Last year we had a new chance to think about a truck: our ice cream won Gelato Festival di Vienna. What a best way to celebrate it, than a food truck?”.

So the Karaarslans met StreetFoody at Sigep in Rimini and few months later visited the headquarters in Terranuova Bracciolini.

“Our dream doesn’t stop here, with an Ape. My husband is dreaming about a second one. And sometimes he even wonders about being only on the road. Of course only when the sun is shining!”.

At the moment, the Alpz Cafe Ape doesn’t have much time to spend on the road: “we’re always very busy with events and parties. In this period there are many end of the school parties, weddings and many more celebrations. In the next few days we’ll be at five different events!, tells us Kristen, who is very happy about the time on the road so far.

“When the Ape comes, happiness comes. People are happy, they have a good time… That’s why it’s great to own a truck that allows you to move around and take part to many different events”, she ends.
